Vanessa Amara

Vanessa Amara is a Danish duo consisting of Birk Gjerlufsen and Sebastián Santillana. Their music is purposely difficult to classify, working within a patchwork of playful absurdity and contemporary classical and experimental music. Through their distinct blend of classical music samples and chopped-up vocals, they write fragmented pop songs.

 

Released through the Copenhagen-based Posh Isolation label, their work invites listeners into a universe both elusive and captivating, a space where the past and future converse in an ever-evolving dialogue.
